About Us
Klocke Estate is a soil-to-glass brandy distillery, regenerative fruit farm, and culinary destination in Claverack, NY, a township of Hudson. Using sustainable agricultural methods, we have cultivated 60 of our 160 acres as organic grape vineyards and apple orchards. We have also built our brandy distillery and barrel aging warehouse, using traditional cognac-making methods.
The Dutch pioneered brandy making, called “Brandywine,” and settled in the Hudson Valley. The first written record of the word, “cocktail” comes from a newspaper from 1806, siting Claverack as the location.
